Free the Sounds was launched in February 2005 to provide an online community for sharing and collaborating with music and sounds in the public domain.
All content on the site is released under the Creative Commons license of the user's choice.
Free the Sounds users leverage the massive power of Bittorrent to share their music, loops, sounds, samples, rants, squeaks, tweaks and twiddles.
All of this spells truly free music for our future! :)
